(00) Overview

Art direction and campaign photography for a collective of eleven ceramicists. We turned the studio’s patience into a visual language — long shadows, raw linen and objects allowed to breathe.

(01) The challenge

(01) The challenge

Kiln Assembly sells objects that take weeks to make into a feed that forgets them in seconds. Their product photography looked like everyone else’s: white sweep, flat light, zero soul.

Light as a material

We treated light the way the makers treat clay — something to be shaped by hand. Every frame was lit with a single source and a sheet of raw linen, so each piece casts the same soft, slow shadow.

The palette came directly from the glazes: bone, ash, moss and one stubborn red.

The campaign became the collective’s first sold-out drop. Three galleries reached out within a week asking who shot it.
